Hi Deeletha, thank you for sharing! myDaVita is a great place to reach out and connect with others who are going through the same thing as you. Here's one of our recent Kidney Diet Tips blog posts :http://blogs.davita.com/kidney-diet-tips/3186-2/. It discusses some ways to re-energize. I'd also recommend speaking with your local doctor and dietitian to address any specific concerns/questions you have since everyone's needs are different. Wishing you all the best!

I am new to this site and started my Davita diet last month.I got 14 kidney and liver tests that show it is getting worse.I am at stage 2 according to the tests. My family Dr. tests me one time a year with 2 tests and has never sent me to a specialist or dietitian. I can not get him to send me to a dietitian.I will see someone on my own about my diet in the future. It is not covered by my insurance so I will wait a while to see someone. I have lost 36 pounds this year. So I am now watching my weight.

I am 74, male who was recently diagnosed with CKD stage 3. It was a shock. My doctor put me on a Kidney diet appropriate for the stage. Condition appears to have stabilized. There is much literature on CKD, and Davita web site is very helpful in learning about the disease.

Hi, I just started really using DaVita even though I signed up several weeks ago. Last year I was diagnosed with stage 4 CKD, I also have type 2 diabetes using insulin. This is really overwhelming but I have to stay focused which is hard. I am finding it very difficult to lose any weight even though my calorie intake is between 600 to 1100 calories a day and it fluctuates which is probably not good. Well nice to meet you all!
