  • Are you finding help with soft child names?

You are expecting a baby boy in December, and are on the hunt for the perfect soft boy name. The baby will take your husband's last name, which is monosyllabic and German -- while you love the last name, it does have a harsher sound so you are looking to pair it with a soft first name. Additionally, the last name begins with S, so first names ending in S are out, in your opinion, for flow reasons. (Many names ending in X or Z have this same issue as well, you've found.) Your style is somewhat unusual without being over the top. And, no made up names, please. Here are some names you like to give an idea of the style:

Milo (but a little too popular for our taste)

Felix (X ending doesn't work with last name)

Caspian (one of my faves, hubs doesn't like it)

Desmond (love this one but a friend has already used it on her son)

    Otis (love, except S ending)

    Huxley

    Westley

    Alden

    Enver

    Soren

Calder (like this one but it's kinda rhymey with last name so it's out)

Lionel (I really like this one but probably more as a middle name)

We researched and collected the top 10 soft names for your reference:

    Bodhi
    Callum
    Hayes
    Henley
    Jude
    Luca
    Milo
    Owen
    Shiloh
