Re: Weggner's disease
Wegener's disease (that is the correct spelling) is an inflammatory disease of the blood vessels. It usually starts as a respiratory issue but can affect other organs such as the heart and kidneys. It is treated with corticosteroids, immunosuppressants, and sometimes the type of biologics used to treat rheumatoid arthritis. It is fully treatable and many people make a full recovery. It can be fatal if left untreated. When it is fatal the deaths most often are due to heart attack or kidney failure. I took all of this information from the Mayo Clinic web site.To the stars through difficulty!
