  • is there something I can't bring to hemo?

I've been a PD patient for 6-1/2 years with no issues. Catheter was split so had to have it removed/replaced. Overstressed at hospital so have to do hemo for 3-4 weeks to give PD Cath time to heal.

Going for my first hemodialysis treatment in center (first was actually in hospital when they put the permcath in) and I'm just wondering if there is something I am not allowed to bring. Can I bring a drink? My laptop so I can work? Food?

A team of specially trained personnel must be assembled, along with the necessary medical equipment and supplies. The transport vehicle must be large enough to transport the patient and all of the necessary equipment. The crew must be skilled in CPR and other emergency medical procedures like http://typotic.com/forum/publishing/...old-every-day/ as well as know how to operate the hemodialysis machines.
