I believe so. Ask your dietitian to be sure. But I do think that Metamusal is okay. But of course I don't know what EIRF is.. so best to ask. I couldn't find it neither

Great quote.. I should copy this and tell it to my grandma which is suffering with a kidney failure.

When you get OLD 76 and survived serious health problems your outlook is subject to change. You try to offer advise to the younger generations who seldom use.it. So due to medical and medicine problems . At one point I was trying to set up that program that lets you die by removeing treatment except for pain. Your body is failing and not thing one you can do about it. Fortunately My wife of 50+ years came to the rescue again. She got on the net and looked up all the new added meds.( by the rehab /elder storage)folks. With my regular MD Reserched the posable interactions . Guess what almost 6 undeaded meds. Stop them Heart went from 20 to 50 Outlook cheered up alot. Beware of any meds involving depresion and or memory.

Now the advise part So your on dialysis face it Its a NEW reality no you dont feel 30 or 50 again and likely won't Make the best of what you got.

Suck it up Move on My bet is with stemcell reserch they will be growing new kidneys in your body from your own stemcells I won't see it I doubt GOD is going to keep me around 50 years more Then again it might only take 25 yrs. I thought I read that some lab has grown a new kidney in a mouse.

I found EIRF. It is exercise intolerance in renal failure.

My husband has ESRF and takes Miralax frequently for constipation. In terms of fiber, I try to get him to eat lots of it. I wasn't successful until he became paralyzed for a couple of hours this week due to practically terminal constipation. NOW I have no trouble getting him to eat foods high in fiber!

To me: Accepting things you can't change ( being CKD stage 3-4) , and changing what you can ( diet, exercise, drinking more water-much more for me to reduce BUN level, meeting new people, enjoy all beaches in summer!)

                      Hi Pauley,

I have not been on in a while but the last time I was you were kind to help me.

Just wish to share a change in numbers. My Creatinine (SP?) is now 1.8....Bun is 36...and GFR is at 28 which had been staying at 31/30.

I am eating more fresh vegetables, fruits and berries. Have been eating more raw spinach instead of lettuce is that good or bad. Have been on a low salt diet a few years. I am bad not to drink enough water.

I had a heart attack in my 30s and a stroke 2013 other then that I am doing fine for my age. Just concerned about the change in my kidneys. My brother was on dialyses for three years and I lost him three years ago. Two other brothers have some CKD but not bad. Also have had numbness in my last two fingers of my left hand three different times..could this be from CKD?

I go in for more lab work on Tuesday. Any suggestions and thank you so much. I love your out look on living with this disease..you inspire me to try harder.

My best to you and yours
