Hi Epiphone, thanks for reaching out here and welcome to myDaVita!

If you have any specific diet and nutrition questions, it's best to speak with your local dietitian as everyone's needs are different. The DaVita Diet Helper is built to help you plan and track kidney-friendly meals that adhere to your nutritional goals. For example, once you set your nutritional goals, the Diet Helper will provide meals that meet your potassium and phosphorus daily limits.

I hope that helps! Have a nice weekend.

    Kelsey

Hi Tygrayne4, that's a great question! Go to the Planner & Tracker portion of the DaVita Diet Helper and then click "Weekly View" on the upper right hand corner. From there, you will see a "print" option on the upper right hand corner, where you can print your weekly meals.

I hope that helps! Let us know if you any additional questions.

By following this the Diet Helper Tracker & Planner, the progression of kidney disease has been stopped for me and my kidney functions have improved. I understand that that's not supposed to happen, but it did for me. I follow the diet and track as closely as I can. If I know I'm going to be going out to eat unless I can find nutrition info on a restaurant web site and plan ahead what to order, I just skip meals and eat at the restaurant. Or if I am really hungry and feel I can't wait to eat I pop some popcorn in a pan on the stove and eat that to hold me over till I do get to eat.

Dlynn61, I know many of us feel the loss of the Diet Helper with the ability to plan and track. My hope is that eventually we will be able to build new tools for DaVita.com. There are several other meal planner/trackers you might want to check out.

                Cronometer https://cronometer.com/
                MyFitnessPal https://www.myfitnesspal.com/
                EatThis Much https://www.eatthismuch.com/

All of these are free and some offer enhanced features for a fee.
We will continue to work on providing new diet and nutrition tools and resources as we go into this new phase of Diet and Nutrition on DaVita.com.

                Best,
                RDSara

I love & rely on the Diet Helper!!! I have several comorbidities in addition to my CKD. I have been raving about Davita's Planner & Tracker. It's made a difference in my levels (labwork has shown) & has kept me accountable. I echo all the comments Dlynn61 made. Please bring it back!!!

I have been using the Tracker for a while and depend on it. Taking this away is unprofessional. I have much stored on that and now I have NO DATA! Bring it back until there is a replacement. Or take the old data and transfer it to a new app. I must say that if davita works this way, I worry about using it for diaysys ... stage 4 at the moment.

Which of these is the best for kidney patients? Does one do a better job with potassium and phosphorus that the others? I'm so disgusted with DaVita for leaving us in the lurch.

The DaVita Diet Helper/ planner has made a big difference in my husbands blood work.
The weekly planning has kept him from going into Dialysis. Please bring it back.
