Anyone know about the VA & dialysys?

    Hi
Is there anyone who has info or especially getting dialysis through the VA?
I want to know the ropes to get this (am qualified vet), cost, etc. Thanks

I tried to get dialysis from VA but was informed that no chairs were available and there would be a long wait until a chair was available, which is why I am with Davita, using Medicare, instead of VA

    VA and Dialysis

Wondering which VA? So far, we've had decent/good experiences with Long Beach, CA VA - have gotten great support & info from the renal doctors and a renal dietitian

The VA kind of scares me. My brother died at the VA a couple years ago. And most of our friends and customers don't have anything good to say about the VA.

I'm in Davita thru the Richmond VA. My VA doctor arranged this after my family decided that Davita was the best in the area. They pay most of my bill because I'm not a disabled Veteran or they would pay it all.

I suggest you get back with your VA primary doctor. The VA has it's problems, but, ,they also have some good.
