Do you have a cookbook which considers subject combination?

I noticed on the diabetic recipies the phos. and pot. is not listed. If you google the food name/nutrician it gives you the breakdown. I'm still new at this but this is what I do. Unfortunately I can't seem to enter the food carbs, sugar, phos. nor pot. on this site. The listing goes by servings/weight/ounces and grams. It's a great guidline. http://nutritiondata.self.com/ if you favorite or bookmark it you can enter other foods.

    Hi, rmullinax101!

Yes, we do. You can download cooking collections containing both kidney and diabetes-friendly recipes created by renal dietitans here: http://www.davita.com/cookbook/downl...TOKEN=90428814

If you look in the recipe section of Davita.com, you will also see hundreds of recipes tagged with "diabetes," meaning that they are good for those with both diabetes and kidney disease.

    Hope that helps!

I got overwhelmed over the past couple of months. I had a stent placed in an artery in my heart then last wekk I had a stent placed in my leg.
So pre-diabetic, CDK3, high chlos, tryglis. calcium, and high BP. And I'm told to increase veggies. It's all I'm eating except fish...so now I started this Optifast Diet because it's medically supervised. The medical person is a nutrictioist who does not know anything about kidney disease. What a bust! And a waste of money.

I'm going to the Nephroligist on Thursday, kidney hurts. Has anyone tried the Optifast diet? Everything is within range, but the Oxalates are missing.
