    Low Sodium Cheese

I really do love cheese and hate to give it up...they tell me I can have low sodium cheese but I can't seem to find any. Does anyone know of any particular brand or type that is considered low sodium?

The first thing that comes to mind is that Dairy Delicious stuff. It's milk and cheese that is made for dialysis patients.

    MelJo,

I see you are in Texas, me too!
If you call the TNC pharmacy on the Dairy Delicious you will save money
on shipping. Just a little FYI.

TNC pharmacy? Never heard of it. What part of Texas are you from?

I never herad of TNC either until I went to the Dairy Delicious site.
There are locations listed there. I think TNC mainly deals in medical supplies and
is not a retail store. The man I spoke with said it is a warehouse. It is located in Crowley.
Since it was so much closer I saved quite a bit on shipping.
I am in Midlothian just south of DFW.

Boar's Head and Alpine Lace both make low sodium cheese (deli case and/or counter). The package is marked as low sodium. But be careful how much you eat because it is still high phosphorous.

It depends on how much cheese you eat. However, 1 ounce (28g) of Ricotta has 1% Daily Value Sodium, Marscapone has 2% DV, Cream cheese has 4% DV, and Swiss cheese has 4%.
