  • Visiting the USA from South Korea

    Hello!

My dad is visiting the U.S. for 2 weeks from South Korea. He is planning on receiving 4 or 5 dialysis treatments, and I wanted to know how much that would cost. His insurance does not cover medical costs overseas, so he will be paying out of pocket. When I called Davita today, they said it would cost him about $15,000-$20,000. I was expecting about $500 per treatment because of what I saw on one website (http://health.costhelper.com/dialysis.html#extres2), so it was very shocking to hear the quote. Can someone verify that this quote is accurate? If so, are there any other options for my dad?...

    Thanks.
