I am using a homeopathic by NatraBio called Leg Cramps. It has a small amount of quinine sulphate in it, but it works for me. Very easy to take. You can order from iHerb and use my code and we both benefit. My code is RMQ400.

      Hello,

I’ve talked to my doc about my leg/foot/hand cramps. I feel like I’m just dismissed. I’m a transplant patient on the decline at stage 4 ckd. Been having cramps since I was at stage 3. Magnesium supplements worked but now that I’m stage 4 I need to be very careful about my electrolytes (sodium, magnesium, potassium). I’ve found that my symptoms were most likely related to high potassium. I stay away from high potassium foods (potatoes, tomatoes, bananas, oranges, avocado etc) and I can tell a night and day difference. I get terrible cramps if I eat high potassium foods. Definitely talk to your nephrologist and dietician.

Generally, potassium is a CURE for cramps. Try quinine.

If they take off too much fluid during dialysis I get cramps, so now they don't take off as much at a time.
