  • Preparing for Ebola

Seeing how unprepared Texas has demonstrated itself to be, I'm wondering if anybody knows if DaVita has any protocols for dealing with a symptomatic, possibly Ebola infected patient, in the dialysis clinic?

      Hi there!

Thanks for your question. The simple answer is yes. DaVita is closely monitoring the situation and following the guidance of the CDC. There is little to no risk to you or our patients at this time. It’s also important to note that no widespread outbreak in the U.S. is expected. Hospitals know how to prevent the spread from infected patients, and health departments know how to stop the disease from spreading in communities.

      Thank you,
      Caitlyn
